WHY LEGAL GUILD?
The Legal Guild provides legal expertise and support within the blockchain ecosystem: projects, DAOs, and entrepreneurs at a time when different regulations on crypto and blockchain can be problematic for industry enthusiasts. From research and direction to work with specific projects to outlining boundaries for DAOs and the issuance of tokens, the Legal Guild provides a first-of-its-kind ecosystem vehicle to direct the legal challenges emerging in this new and innovative space.
Our mission is to acknowledge and attend to this newborn catalog of legal needs while advising the NEAR Ecosystem.
The current Blockchain world can in many ways be too complex. From a legal perspective, essential keywords such as Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT), tokenization, Decentralized Finance (DeFi), or Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) are becoming more familiar and understandable as blockchain and crypto continue to develop. Nevertheless, there remains a considerable amount of uncertainty and ‘grey-area’ in most jurisdictions across the globe.

HOW DOES THE LEGAL GUILD OPERATE?
To achieve our Mission, the Legal Guild believes in maintaining uniformity and equality when engaging with the ecosystem. As such the onboarding process is applied to all the projects that request assistance. No matter their status or who the position in the community.
A new form of providing services is born. The Legal Guild sits at the forefront of this new Mission.
Step 1 – Interested projects can reach out to the Legal Guild at our Request Form. By filling an application, the projects themselves can provide insights on their nature, current development status, and goals.
Step 2 – After submission, our team will reach out in a reasonable period to conduct an initial 1 to 1 consultation. We focus on processing the submitted information to find the right specialist for the specific situation.
Step 3 – By identifying and extracting the core components of the case, the Legal Guild shapes solutions based on the main concerns inside of the ecosystem. This phase aims to create valuable use-cases and playbooks that will help set up good legal practices in the community.
Step 4 – When the Legal Guild encounters a concrete project’s situation that can serve as an archetypic model, an ulterior and deeper analysis phase is open. In this phase, we work closely with those projects to add an extra layer of value and set up best legal practices.
